LOIRE VALLEY FRANCE - PART 3 / EL VALLE DE LOIRA FRANCIA - PARTE 3

Hi everyone. This sunday, like every weekend of march, I share the third part of the Loire Valley post. This time we will see my two favorite castles which I hope you like as much as I do.

Hola a todos. Hoy domingo, como cada fin de semana de marzo, les comparto la tercera parte del post Valle de Loira. En esta ocasión veremos mis 2 castillos favoritos y espero que les guste tanto como a mi.

CHAMBORD

It is the largest and most stunning Loire Valley castle. It is located 80km from Tours and 20km from Blois. King Francis I ordered its construction as hunting lodge, but hi died before the castle was finished. He could only spent 72 days of his 32 years of reign in this spectacular place.

It is a unique castle with a lot of staircases,  fireplaces and stunning geometry.

You cannot miss the castle view from the the northern facade, by the park.

CHAMBORD

Es el castillo mas grande e imponente del Valle de Loira. Se encuentra a 80km de Tours y a 20Km de la ciudad de Blois. Fue mandado a construir por el rey Francisco I como residencia de caza, pero murió antes de que lo terminaran y solo pasó 72 días de sus 32 años de reinado en este espectacular lugar. 

Es un castillo único, con muchas escaleras, estancias, chimeneas y una geometría espectacular. 

No te puedes perder ver la fachada norte del castillo por el parque.

CHENONCEAU

This castle is located 30km from Tours. It was built in 1513 by Katherine Briçonnet. It is perhaps the castle that most caught my attention for being built over the Cher river. As a result, it has spectacular inside and outside views. It is also called “woman castle” because it was built, manage and protected by women. This is noticeable because the place has that special touch that women give to things. You cannot miss the great gallery of 60m long on the river, the kitchen built on the castle pillars, the Luisa Lorena room and the chapel.

CHENONCEAU

Este castillo se encuentra a 30km de Tours. Fue construido en 1513 por Katherine Briçonnet. Es tal vez el que mas me llamó la atención por estar construido sobre el rio Cher. Gracias a esto tiene unas vistas espectaculares tanto fuera como dentro. También lo llaman “castillo de las mujeres” por que fue construido, administrado y protegido por mujeres, y esto se nota mucho porque tiene ese toque especial que las mujeres damos a las cosas. No puedes perderte la gran galería de 60 m de largo sobre el río, la cocina construida sobre los pilares del castillo, la habitación de luto de Luisa de Lorena y la capilla.
